Hey, humans! Bimmer here again, and today I’m taking you on a trip down memory lane—right back to when I was just a little pup, tail wagging and paws slipping on the shop floor. Now, growing up in the car repair business, you could say I had a pretty unique puppyhood. I didn’t just fetch sticks—I fetched wrenches. And while my dad Joe, was busy working his magic on BMWs, I had another hero in the shop next door: Uncle Hubie and my brown eyed first girlfriend Jasmine ❤️❤️
Uncle Hubie has been working on cars for almost forty years. According to my dad Joe, he is a legend in the world of muscle and classic car. And trust me, my dad knows a genius when he sees one. Uncle Hubie had this chocolate lab named Jasmine, and let me tell you, she was something else. Jasmine was my girlfriend. Every time I visited Hubie’s shop with my dad Joe, I’d trot over to see her. She was classy, kind, and she loved the smell of gasoline almost as much as I did. Uncle Hubie’s shop was right next to my dad’s. I used to follow my dad over there all the time.
Man, I loved going over there. It was like a treasure chest of vintage beauties—Mustangs, GTOs, Camaros, and sometimes even sleek European classics like Jaguars and Porsches. I’d run under the cars, peeking out between the tires, giving kisses to Jasmin and listening to Hubie’s stories about how he grew up with his dad, learning the trade. Hubie’s dad was a mechanic too, and he passed down everything he knew to Hubie, who eventually took over the family shop.
Now, even as a pup, I knew one thing for sure: I always wanted Uncle Hubie to come work with my dad. They were like two sides of the same coin—Joe with his BMWs and Hubie with his vintage machines. I would dream about them working side by side in the same shop. I’d drop hints (well, more like puppy eyes), hoping they’d team up someday.
And guess what? A couple of years ago, it finally happened! Hubie decided to close up his own shop and joined the Superior Autoworks team. When I heard the news, I was so happy I practically knocked over my water bowl.
Now, with both Joe and Hubie working together, our shop is like the ultimate garage. Between BMWs, vintage European cars, and American muscle, there’s always something new and exciting going on. And me? Well, I’m the happiest dog in the world. I get to nap under a BMW one minute and then stretch out under a ’69 Camaro the next.
So yeah, I guess you could say I’ve had the best pup-hood imaginable. I’ve learned to appreciate cars in all their forms—whether they’re built for precision, speed, or pure muscle. And now that Uncle Hubie is officially part of the family shop, every day feels like a celebration of everything I’ve ever loved about cars.
Jasmine? Well, that’s a story for another time. Let’s say we are just friends as of now.
Waggingly yours,
Bimmer the Dog (Muscle Car Student, Classic Car Connoisseur, Joe and Hubie’s Best Pal)
